Catalog description
Introduction to the invertebrate phyla, with emphasis on structure, function, adaptations, life histories, evolution and the interdependence of form, physiology, and ecology. Laboratory study will emphasize marine invertebrates of the San Diego area. Three hours of lecture. Three hours of laboratory. Field trip(s) during or outside of class (including weekends) may be required. Prerequisite(s): For Environmental Biology Minors: BIOL 211 . For Biological Sciences Majors: BIOL 210 and BIOL 211 .
