Catalog description

Second semester of a two-semester course series for undergraduate biology students interested in careers in biology instruction. Semester two (BIOL 361) introduces research methods in biology pedagogy. Provides experience in designing inquiry-based research projects to study aspects of evidence-based teaching practices, resulting with a poster presentation and written report to summarize research results. Recommended for students serving as undergraduate peer educators in Biology and/or accepted into an instructional fellowship. Enrollment Restrictions: Enrollment restricted to students who have obtained consent of the instructor. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 360 with a grade of C (2.0) or better.
