Catalog description

First semester of a two-semester course series for undergraduate biology students interested in careers in biology instruction. Semester one (BIOL 360) introduces evidence-based teaching strategies and science pedagogy theory that are important for lesson and curricular design. Instruction will be in the form of lecture and discussion of relevant literature. Recommended for students serving as undergraduate peer educators in Biology and/or accepted into an instructional fellowship . Enrollment Restrictions: Enrollment restricted to students who have obtained consent of the instructor.
