Catalog description
Examines the cross-cultural production of plant medicines used in the treatment of human ailments ranging from chronic illness to acute conditions. Includes the study of plants int he CSUSM Community Ethnobotany Garden, as well as regionally and globally, in conjunction with ethnographic and literature research. Also includes applied laboratory work to investigate plant-based remedies. Prerequisite(s): ANTH 200 or ANTH 215 .
