Catalog description

Involves field and quantitative ethnographic research regarding the health and health care practices of local farmworker communities. Students record work histories, living conditions, health behaviors, health histories, and use of clinical and non-clinical health care forms to assess the status of health and health care practices among local agricultural workers. Collaboration with the National Latino Research Center results in the production of an annual report on farmworker health in North County San Diego. Service Learning course. Enrollment Requirement(s): ANTH 200 .
