Catalog description

Explores methods of creative development from concept to visual design. Emphasizes imagination as a tool for invention with design as the conduit for the development and articulation of new concepts. Incorporates hands-on development and computer graphics technologies. Draws on historical and contemporary examples of invention with an emphasis on the interdisciplinary development of ideas. Explores ways in which design concepts can be realized through design thinking and project work. Includes design activities, research, design management, and individual and group projects. Two hours of lecture. Two hours of activity. May not be taken for credit by students who received credit for: AMD 380-2.
