Catalog description

Introduction to the fundamental principles of three-dimensional design. Includes a brief survey of traditional and contemporary media, ideas, history and sculpture as a means of cultural expression. A variety of techniques and materials are used. Includes training with basic tools and equipment in a wood and metal shop. Emphasis on development of the ideas and methods of art expression. Two hours of lecture. Three hours of laboratory. May not be taken for credit by students who received credit for: VSAR 110. Satisfies GE area: 3A
