Physics II

Catalog description

Physics describes universal laws of nature that underlie the workings of the universe. Physics II is a continuation of Physics I that describes the theory and quantitative relationships of electromagnetism, electronics, relativity, and thermodynamics. Although not an applied physics course, it will lay the foundations for how to utilize the physics concepts in the medical field, such as electricity and x- rays.Prerequisites: PHYS 210. PHYS 220L Physics II Laboratory (1 cr) Physics II laboratory complements the Physics II lecture course by providing hands-on experience with experimentation in physics. It includes experiments that seek to understand physical processes including thermodynamics, electrostatics, electricity, circuits, capacitance, magnetism, wave phenomena, and modern physics.
