Catalog description

In this course, students will learn to identify drug targets based upon an understanding of the pathophysiology of major diseases of the endocrine, r espiratory, renal, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and endocrine system and oncology. St udents will learn to recognize the major disorders of these systems, the mechanism of action and adverse effects of pharmacological classes of drugs used in the treatment of t hese disorders. In addition, students will learn the alternative pharmacological agents for patients who exhibit significant adverse effects to existing pharmacological therapy of these disorders. (Prerequisite: PBS 601 & PBS 603)
