Catalog description

This course is a continuation of ODON 611 and will focus on restoration of partial edentulism through use of fixed dental prostheses. This course will cover proper preparation and restoration techniques, concepts of path of draw, pontic design, and FPD treatment planning. Students will practice lab procedures for generating stone models, completing diagnostic wax-ups, mounting cases on articulators and fabricating indirect provisional restorations for fixed dental prostheses. Furthermore, students will practice presenting medical histories of simulated patients in reference to daily care and clinically chart daily care.
