Catalog description
This course reviews and elaborates upon mathematics essential for the study of calculus. Specific topics include polynomial functions and equations, trigonometric functions, exponential and logarithmic functions and equations, and plane geometry (with emphasis on vectors) . This course is required to be taken by students who need a thorough review of this material as determined by performance on a mandatory math placement exam given to all first-year students before the start of the Fall semester. Students who do well on the placement exam may skip this course and enroll directly in MATH130 Differential and Integral Calculus offered in the Spring.Prerequisites: None.
