Oral Communication

Catalog description

This course allows student to learn and practice the art of oral communication in a variety of genres commonly encountered in professional settings. This includes intra- and interpersonal communication, small group dynamics, compassionate and empathetic patient interaction, and verbal and nonverbal communication skills. The students will be required to apply these skills through exercises and activities in which they will receive feedback from the instructor and their peers to increase competence and confidence. Prerequisites: None.
