Introduction to the Research University

Catalog description

Introduces what it means to be a student at a research university. Students identify and explore a question they have about the world around them. They will engage with a variety of campus resources, including the University Library, to address their question and explore how their question relates to campus disciplines of study and UC Merced faculty research. Students will develop a research presentation citing and summarizing relevant scholarly articles.
