Advance Stable Isotopes in Ecosystems

Catalog description

Students will learn about stable isotope systems including carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen, and if there is interest, sulfur and strontium. They will learn chemistry, physics, biology, and ecology of isotope compositions and fractionations. A discussion component will teach students how to use the SIELO, the stable isotope core facility on campus, as well as data corrections, visualization, and analysis.
