Catalog description

Promotes the view that interventions form a central role in healthcare and in providing prevention opportunities to maintain positive health and quality of life. Focuses on the theoretical, practical, and ethical issues concerning the design and evaluation of health-related interventions. Examines research ranging from clinic-based to community interventions, and covers a range of target outcomes, including promoting healthy diet and eating habits, stress-reduction and other psychosocial outcomes, alcohol abuse treatment, and pain management.
