Advanced Topics in Cognitive Psychology

Catalog description

Introduces and studies a special topic or problem of psychological interest in the domain cognitive psychology treated at an advanced level for students with statistical and methodological training. Each class will have a specific focus which will be defined by the instructor of the course on a semester-by-semester basis. Topics include animal cognition, memory and memory disorders, information processing, culture and thought, and imagination. Applies understanding and skills developed in psychological statistics and research methods to evaluate theory and empirical findings related to the topic of interest.
