Advanced Topics in Social and Personality Psychology

Catalog description
Introduces and studies a special topic or problem of psychological interest in the domain of social/personality psychology treated at an advanced level for students with statistical and methodological training. Each class will have a specific focus which will be defined by the instructor of the course on a semester-by-semester basis. Example topics include personality assessment, personal and social identity, attitudes, persuasion, social intervention, and individual differences. Students will apply understanding and skills developed in psychological statistics and research methods to evaluate theory and empirical findings related to the topic of interest.
