Catalog description

Explores cognitive processing of social information, with an emphasis upon “dual-processing models” that detail the interplay of explicit (conscious) and implicit (unconscious) cognitive processes related to attention, encoding, and representation in memory. The implications of these processes for our perception of self and society are explored. Special topics include cognitive bias, person perception, discrimination, and culture with an overall focus upon implicit social cognition.
