Topics in Clinical and Counseling Psychology

Catalog description

Introduces and studies a special topic or problem of psychological interest in the domain of mental health. Each class will have a specific focus which will be defined by the instructor of the course on a semester-by-semester basis. Example topics include personality disorders, emerging psychological interventions and treatments, biological interventions, educational and learning disorders, and mood disorders. Course content will include both historical perspectives on the topic as well as recent, empirically informed theories and findings.
