Topics in Developmental Psychology

Catalog description

Introduces and studies a special topic or problem of psychological interest in the domain of development. Each class will have a specific focus which will be defined by the instructor of the course on a semester-by-semester basis. Example topics include identity development, child and family well-being, family communication, culture and development, aging, and lifespan emotional development. Course content will include both historical perspectives on the topic as well as recent, empirically informed theories and findings.
