Discusses and evaluates empirical evidence surrounding developmentally based educational approaches. Builds an understanding of the promises and pitfalls of a developmentally based education approach with an aim of providing a balanced, empirically informed discussion of the role of developmental psychology theory and findings in education policy and practice.
