Catalog description

Introduces and studies a special topic or problem of psychological interest in the domain of physical health and well-being treated at an advanced level for students with statistical and methodological training. Each class will have a specific focus which will be defined by the instructor of the course on a semester-by-semester basis. Example topics include identity and health, motivation and well-being, stress, coping, and emotion, and patient-physician communication. Students will apply understanding and skills developed in psychological statistics and research methods to evaluate theory and empirical findings related to the topic of interest.
