Advanced Quantum Computing

Catalog description

In the fast-growing research area of quantum computing and quantum information, the goal of this course is not only to guide students in learning basic concepts, but also to introduce students with recent progresses in this area. Course materials span from fundamental concepts of quantum computing, quantum algorithm, physical implementation, to recent progresses on quantum advantage and special purpose quantum computers. The materials will be organized into three themes: (1) basics concepts, (2) the implementation of quantum computing, and (3) recent progress in noisy intermediate-scale quantum devices.
