Starting Your Physics Journey

Catalog description

Introduces new and prospective physics majors and minors to the field of physics and the physics community. Students will explore intriguing physics concepts, engage in hands-on problem-solving, and learn about career pathways in physics. The course also explores effective skills for academic success, collaboration and community, and research opportunities in physics and within the department. Through interactive discussions and exposure to campus resources, student groups, and faculty research, students will gain a strong foundation for their physics studies and future careers.
