Catalog description

Explores methods to efficiently manage and analyze large complex datasets, including parallelization, dictionaries and random sampling. The computer lab will introduce relevant methods in the Mathematica programming language with a focus on extracting data from websites, exploring, and inquiry-oriented analyses and visualizations. An introduction to network science theory offers practical insight into the management of complex socio-technological systems, along with methods for calculating network metrics and community detection algorithms for analyzing network structure.
