Explores human-centered data collection (survey design and implementation) and interactive web-based data visualization. Lectures develop theoretical principles of human perception, question order and context effects, user experience, and visual encoding for effective survey design and data communication. These principals are applied through peer-based surveys generating data that students then use to create compelling interactive visualizations.
