Catalog description
Introduces fundamentals of machine learning with an emphasis on natural language processing (NLP). Through real-world case studies and hands-on labs, students will explore supervised and unsupervised learning techniques, including logistic regression, classification, clustering, and neural networks within the context of large language models (LLM). In project-based work, students will apply machine learning methods to analyze large-scale text data, supporting holistic decision-making and the development of innovative and scalable data services.
