Catalog description

Introduces the study of complex phenomena using dynamical computer simulations, which exhibit emergent properties, sensitivity to initial conditions, fractal structure, phase transitions in random graphs, and shifts from stability to meta-stability to chaos. Projects include: probability games, neural networks, the Lorenz attractor, Conway’s game of life, the logistic map, and the Mandelbrot set.
