Microplastic and nanoplastic accumulating in the environment has become a global concern. Plastic debris has been detected worldwide in all major habitats. Basic concepts, analysis, and current status for microplastics and nanoplastics will be introduced. Plastic related seafood safety and health concerns will be highlighted.
