Catalog description
This course provides a foundation in playwriting, including understanding the structure and staging of live drama; crafting of plot, character, and dialogue; practice evaluating, revising and formatting plays; and developing an original voice and working closely with other theater artists as a playwright. Students will write and revise an original play 10-minute play eligible to be performed at the University. The course is cross-listed in English and Theater Arts. Prerequisite: English 111.
