Catalog description
An introductory course on the craft of writing for television or film. Emphasis is on narrative storytelling for the screen, understanding film grammar and the tools of the screenwriter from basic three-act structure to characterization. In a workshop approach, students will develop their own story premise, treatment, outline and draft script, plus revisions. Prerequisite: ENGL-111 Fulfills CORE 21 Writing Intensive requirement.
