Catalog description

This course is the first in a series of three courses that are designed to assist students in developing their dissertation research proposal. This course supports students in identifying one or two dissertation research topics that are both important to the field of clinical psychology broadly defined and of interest and value to the student. This course provides sufficient introductory training to conduct a preliminary literature review and to develop a beginning understanding of what research methods can answer what kinds of research questions. By the end of this course, students will have finished a preliminary draft of the introductory chapter of their initial dissertation proposals for one of their research topics that could be further developed in the next course in this sequence. RESTRICTED TO CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY STUDENTS.
