Introduction to Storytelling and Screenwriting

Catalog description

In this introductory course, students will learn how to write their own stories along with how to read and understand a screenplay. At the end of this 6-week course, students will have a 3-to-5-page script to prepare for production. Storytellers who decide to write a book will have a synopsis and 3-to-5-page treatment to begin writing their own book. Students will be familiar with and know how to navigate screenwriting software. Prerequisite: None.
