Clerkship Clerkship The Community or Underserved Medicine clerkship is a required 4-week clerkship. This clerkship is designed to provide the student with clinical experience in a non-profit or public community-based health care clinic located in a medically underserved area or that provides services to a medically underserved population. Students will receive exposure to a diverse community of patients in both ambulatory and inpatient settings. The prefix COM is replaced by the specialty or sub-specialty rotation completed, (ex., EME 2001 - Underserved: Emergency Medicine)
