Catalog description

The clinical clerkship in General Surgery is a required 4-week Core clerkship. This clerkship is designed to provide the student with a basic understanding of Surgery through the integration of didactic knowledge and clinical experiences. Students will receive exposure to a diverse community of patients in both ambulatory and inpatient settings. The curriculum content is delivered to students via the learning management system web site. During the clerkship, students will access the learning website to review learning modules on topics appropriate for a thirdyear surgery clerkship. A required end of clerkship shelf exam will be administered at the conclusion of this clerkship.
