Catalog description

Course Description: Contemporary dynamics of immigration in the US from two perspectives: laws and policies affecting the admission and expulsion of migrants; stories of migrants who must navigate these laws and policies to obtain a secure life in the country. Family separation, childhood arrivals, permanent residency, migrant detention and deportation, political asylum, temporary protected status, and border control and immigration deterrence policies.
