Course Description: Psychological perspectives on various parameters of diversity in aging and older adulthood to explore cross-cultural differences, aging assumptions, ageism, discrimination, and resilience. Optimal aging, generativity, Indigenous healthy brain aging, LGBTQIA2S+ health. Disparities in cognitive functioning, health, and longevity. Evaluation of gerontological theories, methodologies, and current empirical research.
