Course Description: Principles and practices of managing grazing; grazing plan development; setting goals, herbivore nutritional demand, animal unit equivalents, determining ecological carrying capacities and stocking rate, livestock spatial and temporal distribution and grazing systems, herbivore – plant – soil interactions, livestock – wildlife interactions, conservation grazing practices, and the economics of grazing management.
