Catalog description

Course Description: Science as depicted in film and literature. Scientific concepts, methods, and controversies represented in popular films and works of fiction. Ideas from the physical sciences, life sciences, earth sciences, and engineering, with critical evaluation of the accuracy, plausibility, and narrative role of scientific elements in storytelling. Analysis of selected cinematic and literary case studies and their influence on public understanding of science.
