Physical layer issues for component and system technologies in high-speed data optical communications. High-capacity data multiplexing technologies including wavelength-division-multiplexing, time-division-multiplexing, and advanced coherent modulation. Optical signal transmission, optical amplification, and optical switching for telecom and data center networks.
