Three hours lecture per week Prerequisite(s): ECON 110 or Agricultural Economics This course provides a comprehensive introduction to essential business principles and practices vital to sustainable agriculture and agribusiness management. Students will delve into foundational topics, including strategic management, marketing strategies, economic analysis, and entrepreneurship, tailored specifically to agricultural contexts. A significant focus is placed on understanding economic drivers, optimizing profitability and efficiency, and developing sustainable management practices that balance ecological health with business success. The course emphasizes the critical role of marketing in promoting sustainability to consumers, preparing students to effectively communicate the value of sustainable agricultural products.
