Three hours lecture per week Prerequisite(s): PHYS 201 and MATH 151; MATH 350 (may be taken concurrently) Survey of mathematical methods for physicists. Topics include matrices, linear algebra, eigenvectors and eigenvalues, complex numbers and complex functions, elements of probability and Fourier analysis. Additional topics may include partial differential equations, special functions, and group theory.
