Catalog description

One-half hour lecture and one hour activity per week Through a series of practical lessons and on-water experience, students will learn the basic skills involved in sailing and water safety. Topics and activities covered include sailing theory, terminology, boat handling, safety, right of way, knots and docking. Class time is spent working with the boats and sailing within the Channel Islands Harbor, two to three students per boat.
