Primary Care Across the Lifespan I Practicum

Variable hours per week Prerequisite(s): NRS 500 and NRS 502 and NRS 504 with grades of C or better Corequisite(s): NRS 520 The nurse practitioner practicum experience provides the student with an opportunity to assume responsibility for the primary healthcare services of individuals and families across the life span under the supervision of an established nurse practitioner and/or physician preceptor. This practicum is the first of three clinical rotations. This practicum will focus on disease prevention and health promotion in a primary care setting. Students must complete 180 practicum hours.
