Three hours lecture per week Prerequisite(s): Successful completion of Golden Four GE Areas (1A, 1B, 1C, 2) Studies Western classical music in history after 1750. Topics include musical exchanges between Western classical music and non-Western traditions, including representative women, African American and Latin American composers, during the Classical Period, the Romantic era, and the 20th Century.
