Two hours activity per week Examines the cultural heritage and influences on the mariachi style and repertoire with an emphasis on the development of musical skills needed to perform within this specialized ensemble. Topics include learning by oral tradition and written arrangement, rehearsal etiquette, genre-specific instrumentation, and public performance. Repeat 4 times up to 4 units
