Catalog description

Three hours lecture per week Prerequisite(s): MIS 310 This course introduces the principles of cybersecurity for business and management students. It examines key areas of information assurance including threats, attacks, and vulnerabilities; security architecture and design; identity and access management; risk assessment; and security operations. Students learn how to identify, assess, and mitigate risks using frameworks such as NIST and COBIT. Emphasis is placed on managerial understanding of cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and the integration of security practices into business processes.
