Three hours lecture per week Prerequisite(s): HLTH 311 or another advanced Statistics course Epidemiology introduces students to the fundamental concepts and methods used in the study of disease patterns, causes, and effects in populations. The course covers key topics such as disease surveillance, outbreak investigation, measures of disease frequency, and risk assessment. Students will learn to apply epidemiological principles to real-world health issues, analyze data, and interpret findings to inform public health decisions and policy. This course provides a foundation for understanding how epidemiology shapes health strategies and interventions at local, national, and global levels.
