Catalog description

Three hours lecture per week Explores the role of maps and their boundaries in shaping historical narratives. Focus will be placed on the history of map-making as well as on the ability of cartographic texts to serve as tools of power. The course is thematically grounded in the history of cartography and introduces students to elements of spatial theory.
