Catalog description
Three hours lecture per week Investigates a wide range of issues including, but not limited to: the origins of the law in classical civilizations; the interplays between/among law, religion, government, and morality; evolutions of diverse legal systems in different societies and traditions; legal and ethical challenges of modern sciences; the rule of law in an international environment; and the debate over the extent and limits of the laws in coping with social and technological problems of modern life.
